Fiber Arts - A Showcase of Arts for the Ages

 Fiber for Arts

A gallery specific to an outline for an arts program. It showcase samples of the form of crochet works from the base, the beginning, the foundation, to the types of activities of a set of works for a program.


To get started with creating , it's always a great suggestion to practice the above activities for good hand and eye coordination. For seniors, the elderly, dot and color by number is recommended. 

The muscles in your hands and fingers that are used for grasping tools and instruments do gets strengtened by regular hand work activity. The above is with the use of a pencil, preferably, or a pen. 


The above collage feature works in crochet, freeform and squares. This is an end result sampling of what selected works in the curriculum of a basic program looks like. The squares can be joined to make a scarf, a blanket or for decorating.

Above, the top row shows how to begin a stitch. The middle row shows sample types of stitches, patch and square graphic work. The third shows more of what you can do creating art and craft by crochet.

There are many more samples, patches and squares of work that can be available as examples for crochet. We will take a look next, at other fiber works in practice such as art by cross-stitch, needlepoint, embroidery, latch-hook, and macramé.
